While the Asterion Order spans multiple solar systems, there are still many planets whose races suffer from the ever-expanding war. For every world the Asterion Order saves, there are countless that they are unable to aid. Many of these populaces have grown tired of dedicating their planet’s precious resources and soldiers to the demanding drum of the Asterion Orders march across the galaxy. This can leave planets bled dry of valuable minerals and defenseless against the scrying eyes of greedy factions. With the Asterion Order continuing to press its war’s unreasonable demands upon these worlds, the surviving races have formed a new separatist organization known as the Freeside Renegades. Utilizing guerilla tactics and strategies, they wage a constant hit-and-run battle with the other factions in the Vindictive Universe. Forming small subcells within multiple systems, the Freesiders strike back against those that threaten their homes and freedom. But their isolation comes with a price. Without the aid of the Asterion Order, the Renegades are forced to defend their homeworlds without support. However, as each soldier of the Freeside falls, a battle cry can be heard upon their lips, it is better to die free than live a life for someone else.
